UXPin is a wire-framing and prototyping tool that allows you to create websites and apps from the very beginning right through to Fully designed and clickable prototypes.
The Legal Portal
The legal portal is an example of a proof-of-concept idea that was proposed to us by an Auckland based Barrister. His requirements were for a website where contributors could be screened and registered in order to contribute to the site. The idea was to build up a repository of work where solicitors and students could get an idea of previous casework and legal precedent. It was done in conjunction with the University of Otago Law School.
The wireframes allowed the client to run through how the web app would work both on desktop and mobile platforms.
In UXPin the prototypes can be as detailed as you wish them to be. As client approval is gained, the prototype moves further into design stage whereby it becomes almost a functional website.
Canes Deer Velvet
Canes Deer Velvet is a good example of the power of UX Pin. This e-commerce prototype became an all singing and dancing clickable prototype, almost indistinguishable from a real site. The client was able to add comments remotely that automatically became to do lists for the designer.
We were able to fully test gateway processes and steps to accomodate different prices and currencies.
Further the developer was able to begin work on approved pages while the design process was fulfilled.
